What do you want me to do for you?

What do you want me to do for you?
Last week we discussed the Awe & Wonder of God through Jesus’ healing of the invalid man and asked the question, what if Jesus were speaking to you through the red letters:
“Do you want to be healed?”… Jesus said to him, “Get up, go take up your bed, and walk.”
This week I want you to hear another question Jesus speaks through another healing of a blind beggar. This week I want you to hear the question and respond in your journal, your prayer and your response to Jesus question from [Mark 10:51]:
”What do you want me to do for you?”
Think of your own pain and weakness. Think about your struggle and what you need help with to grow Spiritually. Imagine yourself getting desperate enough to cry out, “Jesus! Have mercy on me”. Him seeing you and asking you directly, “What do you want me to do for you?” That blind man was prepared for Jesus’ question, are you?
Read the scripture below and respond in your journal in the form of a prayer the answer to Jesus’ question. So that you too, like the blind beggar may hear the words of the Lord speak to you: “Go your way, your faith has made you well”. Be prepared to share with your group your journal.
Scripture Reference:
“And they came to Jericho. And as he was leaving Jericho with his disciples and a great crowd, Bartimaeus, a blind beggar, the son of Timaeus, was sitting by the roadside. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out and say, “Jesus, Son of David, have mercy on me!” And many rebuked him, telling him to be silent. But he cried out all the more, “Son of David, have mercy on me!” And Jesus stopped and said, “Call him.” And they called the blind man, saying to him, “Take heart. Get up; he is calling you.” And throwing off his cloak, he sprang up and came to Jesus. And Jesus said to him, “What do you want me to do for you?” And the blind man said to him, “Rabbi, let me recover my sight.” And Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your faith has made you well.” And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him on the way.”
