6. God Moves

6. God Moves
“But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” [Romans 5:8]
Look around you and see the ways God is moving in your life, even when you don’t have it all figured out. Look to creation and see Gods love and favor towards you His creation. Look to scripture and see the thousands of ways God has moved, is moving and will move towards his people with favor and love. We serve a God who is always willing to move towards His people, and nothing will prevent His willingness. For we serve a God who is not only seated on His throne in eternity but who is with us moving in and through us. And that His ultimate move was in the cross, to bring us His people Home. So, let us look to the cross today and see Gods willingness to move on our behalf.
- He was betrayed for us. One of His twelve sold him out for 30 pieces of silver (Around $1000 Bucks) [Matthew 26:15]
- He was humiliated & beaten. To show all creation our worth. “Blindfolded they kept asking him, prophesy who just beat you? Mocking him as they beat him.” [Luke 22:63-64]
- He was torchered, stripped and mocked, willingly. “And they stripped him, put on a scarlet robe and a reed in his hand…twisted on a crown of thorns…mocked him saying, ‘Hail king of the Jews’…They spit on him and took a reed and struck him on the head.” [Matthew 27:28-31]
- He was brutally crucified. To Bring His sons and daughters home. Some of His final words were, “Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” [Luke 23:34]
Why would he endure such a thing? So that all mankind will see and know the willingness of the Father love towards His children.
“For I am convinced, that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present or the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all of creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord”
Do you see it? Are you able to receive His movement of love towards you? For when you see it, it begins to move through you towards others in the way it moved from others towards you. We serve a God who is willing. Now he is asking you, are you willing to be used in a world that is hurting and dying apart from Him. So to show them the way home. So there will no longer be an eternal separation.
